Responsible for:

  • Enabling backend engineers (over 60) in all locations (Lisbon, Stuttgart, Berlin & Braga);
  • Fostering cross-product exchange, sharing DevOps success & failure stories, and hence growing a DevOps culture of continual experimentation and learning;
  • Provide onboarding & integration of new joiners regarding tools, methods & practices;
  • Being the interface to Engineering Managers regarding backend community topics;
  • Supporting HR in defining and maintaining the Career Progression Framework for the backend community;

Software Engineer (Oct 2018 - )

Design, develop, test and maintain the backend infrastructure and microservices of a software system, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Event Ambassador: Represent the Backend circle in events; create presentations and workshops in college fairs (SINFO 27 & 28, Jortec 2020, SET 2021); host internal knowledge sharing sessions;
  • Tech Practice Onboarding Coordinator: Defining, owning and guiding the process of the Tech Practice (backend, frontend, quality assurance, mobile dev, infrastructure) into the team and vice versa;

Enablement Lead Link for Backend Engineering (Jun 2021 - Dec 2022)

Responsible for:

  • Enabling backend engineers (over 45) on all locations (Lisbon, Stuttgart, Berlin & Braga);
  • Defining the strategy and vision for our backend;
  • Pushing forward technology and skillset to provide the best cloud-native microservices solutions;
  • Supporting the development of backend engineers;
  • Providing /maintaining content for onboarding;
  • Fostering cross-product exchange, sharing DevOps success stories, and hence growing a DevOps culture of continual experimentation and learning;
  • Collaborating with Recruiting and Staffing Lead Link on staffing process towards onboarding.

Free and Open Source Coordinator (Jul 2020 - Dec 2021)

Being a FOSS liaison between Mercedes-Benz.io and Mercedes-Benz Group by:

  • Coordinating FOSS rules and processes;
  • Taking part in FOSS coordinator meetings/meet-ups;
  • Providing FOSS related information;
  • Monitoring that FOSS rules and processes are understood and followed;
  • Set up goals and objectives regarding FOSS awareness at Mercedes-Benz.io
  • Living by and promoting Mercedes-Benz Group FOSS manifesto principles.
