Another week, another book đź“–
This time around: “Coaching Agile Teams: A Companion for ScrumMasters, Agile Coaches, and Project Managers in Transition” by Lyssa Adkins.
This book was recommended to me by Scrum Master, and oh boy, there is a lot to unravel there. For sure I will need to read it a lot more in the upcoming months and years. I quite liked it and totally recommend it.
I can`t really summarise it well enough, so I leave you with some concepts presented in the book that are worth investigating:
- the High Performance Tree;
- the conflict response model;
- the concept of non violent language;
- the Shu Ha Ri focused on the SM/Coach: Teaching (Shu), Coaching (Ha) and Advising (Ri)
- the BART analysis;
- the five levels of conflict;
Here are some interesting quotes as well:
- “Everything you do for the group is one less thing they can do for themselves”
- “A friend loves you just the way you are. A coach loves you too much to let you stay that way.”
Happy readings 🤓
