Another week, another book
The past week I was on vacation the book “The Art of Doing Twice the Work In Half the Time” by Jeff Sutherland was my companion.
I have been working with Scrum for the past two years, however, only in the beginning of 2020 I made a real commitment to my team and my Scrum Master at the time to educate myself and try to better understand this framework. I have also received great encouragement to pursuit more knowledge from my current Scrum Master.
I did so: by attending an internal Scrum training; taking each ritual more seriously; really inspecting each Sprint; taking the Sprint Reviews to a different level with more preparation and more demos; attended eXperience Agile conference and now I had the opportunity to read this great book.
The book is easy to read, with immense practical value, lively stories, real life examples, great quotes and actionable takeaways.
My goal is to keep on educating myself on Scrum and other Agile frameworks, I have a lot to learn and I’m excited to do so 🚀.
I leave you with this quote: “Greatness can’t be imposed; it has to come from within. But it does live within all of us.”
